You've bought a new doona and you're not sure what to do with your old one? Rather than collecting dust in your closet, or even contributing to landfill, let's give it to someone in need.
Step 1: Decide
The condition of your old doona. If it looks almost new then we can give it to someone in need.
Step 2: Launder
For hygiene reasons, your bedding must be professionally cleaned prior to donating.
Step 3: Donate
Check out our partner organisations below and use our packaging to send your doona directly to them.
Supporting Organisations
GIVIT
If your doona is in good condition, you can donate it through GIVIT.
Through donating your used, laundered doona with GIVIT.org.au, you will directly support those in need, get what they need, when they need it most.
GIVIT works with more than 4,600 support organisations, to support individuals and communities within Australia. This includes those who are recovering from an emergency event, or experiencing hardship due to circumstances such as drought, domestic and family violence, homelessness, disability, or mental health.
RSPCA
If your doona is not suitable for human use, you can donate it to the RSPCA.
Each year, the RSPCA care for more than 14,000 animals - that’s almost 40 animals each day! If you donate your doona to RSPCA, you’ll help provide comfortable bedding for for sick and injured animals, and help protect animals from neglect and cruelty, giving them a second chance at life.

To GIVIT
To donate to GIVIT, your doona should be free from stains, tears, or damage. That means no yellow splotches, no rips and definitely no hot chocolate spills. You will also need to professionally launder your doona before you donate it.
To RSPCA
To donate to RSPCA, your doona can be in moderate or poor condition. It will be used by RSPCA for animal bedding and therefore cannot contain feathers.
What do you do with returns?
As part of our impact initiatives, all returns are donated to GIVIT, our supporting organisation. We work with GIVIT to donate all returned doonas to those in need.
As part of this process, we pay for the returned doonas to be professionally laundered and shipped to these organisations. You can read more about this initiative and others here.
